Description

Una cometa che sorge dietro la Cattedrale del paese è un evento piuttosto raro perché richiede particolari condizioni geometriche e astronomiche per avere il giusto allineamento. È successo l'8 luglio 2020 e ne ho approfittato, benché non fosse una foto programmata.

Stavo infatti sistemando la strumentazione per prendere delle immagini per uso scientifico della cometa C/2020 F3 (NEOWISE), appostandomi nel terreno vicino casa, quando ho visto con la coda dell'occhio la testa della cometa, vicina allo skyline a fianco la Basilica. Prontamente ho eseguito degli scatti appoggiando la fotocamera sulla borsa. Questo è quello in cui la cometa è meglio visibile, ma ho dovuto rinunciare alla giusta esposizione dei muri, comunque in modo ancora accettabile. Una delle mie foto più belle!
