Português: "Remar sob o rio Guamá e escolher encarar de frente o fato de que existe vida na ilha é descobrir lições únicas e simples sobre humanidade de pessoas inacreditáveis. Vidas como a da Dona Firmina e Seu Branco, moradores lá no finalzinho do furo do aningal, na Ilha do Murutucum. (...) A relação deles com a vida e com a natureza é de uma delicadeza tão grande que chega a ser impossível não se surpreender com uma nova lição a cada encontro, como por exemplo, o cuidado em consumir apenas o camarão graúdo de uma pescaria e devolver os pequenos para o rio na esperança de que eles possam crescer", Ádamo Mello, autor da foto.
English: "Rowing down the Guamá River and choosing to face head on the fact that there is life on the island is to discover unique and simple lessons about humanity from incredible people. Lives like those of Dona Firmina and Seu Branco, residents at the very end of the Aningal borehole, on Murutucum Island. (...) Their relationship with life and nature is so delicate that it is impossible not to be surprised by a new lesson with each encounter, such as, for example, the care taken to consume only the large shrimp caught during a fishing trip and to return the smaller ones to the river in the hope that they will grow", Ádamo Mello, author of the photo.
